  1. I am looking for an irrational thought (thinking error) to describe when a person does not allow others the privilege of their own expression. Can you help with your thoughts on this.

    • Hi Larna,

To me this would be something out outside the realm of irrational thinking. A person denying another the ability to express his/her opinion would likely be so set on being correct that he/her would deem it unnecessary to hear that other person out. This is more of a psychological problem. It could possibly be a severe case of narcissism. The irrational thinker would let the other person express him/herself and then simply discredit everything that person would have to say. That’s been detailed several times on this blog. A rational thinker simply will never discredit something that is objectively true. You can be unhappy with the truth all you want, but pretending like it’s not true only leads you down the rabbit hole. Needless to say, this won’t lead Wonderland or better put, you won’t wake up to find out it was all a dream. Hope this helps.

      • Wow, thank you so much Mr. Guzman for your reply to my question. Your comment was quite insightful and helpful. Sincerely, Laura
